Summertime Grillin’ is one of my favorite things to do when
the weather is too hot to cook indoors.
I have been a lover of fish for as long as I can remember. Besides being healthy for you, it’s easy to
grill! I have a new found love for
grilled fruit as well. Grilling brings
out all the juices and flavor in fruit.
Grilled Salmon with
Pineapple Juice
Ingredients:
Salmon Steaks
Pineapple Planks (sides
of the pineapple you would have thrown away after slicing it all up)
Brown Sugar
Soy Sauce
Cotton twine
Heat your grill up.
Prepare your salmon steaks.
Mixing the brown sugar (about a
teaspoon) and your soy sauce (about 2
tablespoons) and pour that mixture over the salmon steaks.
Next take two of your pineapple planks and make a “salmon
sandwich”. Tying up the salmon sandwich
with cotton twine.
Grill for about 13-14 minutes on each side depending on how
thick your steaks are.
The twine will most likely burn thru (BONUS TIP: you can help avoid that if you soak your twine first in
water for about 30 minutes) that is fine. Just try to keep together the “salmon
sandwich” as best you can.
After they are done – remove twine and enjoy! The pineapple juice and citrus acid has
helped to create a party on your plate!
The juices and warm pineapple coupled with the salmon is delicious!
Until Next Time – Party on and Happy Grilling!
